The MA Basic Firearms Safety Course is your initial step toward becoming a responsible gun owner in Massachusetts, so don't hesitate to contact us to begin the process of obtaining your License to Carry or FID. The MA LTC prerequisites encompass the MA Basic Firearms Safety Course, and our 4-hour class, led by licensed instructors, fulfills those requirements.

Class description: Join us at our Chicopee store for an immersive and interactive session where you'll gain practical experience with a diverse range of firearms. Learn essential knowledge, skills, and the proper mindset for safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in your home. Our expert instructors will provide comprehensive education on Massachusetts gun laws, as well as valuable insights on the secure transportation of firearms. If you're considering obtaining a License to Carry a firearm, our safety class will equip you with all the pertinent information you need.

In our class, we will demystify the application process by walking you through each step. Rest assured that our small class sizes ensure personalized attention and ample opportunities to seek clarifications.

Live Fire: Our course includes live fire training on the same day! Live fire takes place at Fairview Sportsman’s Club in Granby, MA, at an outdoor range, so please dress accordingly. Each student will have the opportunity to shoot under the guidance of our instructors, who will demonstrate the proper handling and shooting techniques for firearms.

What to bring: Just bring yourself and a willingness to learn! We provide all safety equipment, firearms, ammunition, and targets.

Prerequisites: No prior experience needed!

Must be at least 14 to apply (for FID)**

Must be a US citizen
